Happy Birthday!

It looks like Sharon forgot to post it so I’m going to have to.

Happy Birthday Lump! Our Lump cat is 12 years old today!

Unfortunately we couldn’t give her the birthday present she wanted because what she wanted was for us to get rid of the dog…

Hello everyone!

I miss blogging. Facebook and Twitter are too fleeting. I want something more permanent.

So… Hey, look. I have a blog now! I’m going to share it with Moose. Eventually I will make some pages for his adventures and all the places he’s travelled and people he’s met. The dude’s kind of a celebrity whore.

Because this is the internets, we will start this blog off with the required picture of a cat!

Her Royal Highness, Queen of the House, Lump

This is my cat, Lump. She’s a cranky bitch, but she’s my cranky bitch!

We have a dog too. He’s a Shiba Inu named Dogasaurus Rex. You’ll just have to come back again if you want to see pictures of him.

And now, despite my good intentions of starting this blog tonight with something more substantial than a picture of a cat, I’m off to do more important stuff.

Like this:

Let's Pretend This Never Happened

Yes, this is an Advanced Reader Copy of the not yet released book from the amazing Jenny Lawson, aka The Bloggess!

If you’ve never heard of The Bloggess, I’m sorry. You have not truly lived. We can fix that though.

Her name is Jenny & she is wicked funny. This post about getting lost had me laughing so hard I thought I would burst something. The story of James Garfield will make you laugh. It will make you cry. It will make you go WTF? And then you discover that there is more. Eventually, you will come to the conclusion that The Bloggess is an alcoholic. Or maybe a cocker spaniel. Then you will decide that really, she’s just a normal girl with a cat on her head. Jenny commented on this description the first time I linked to her on a blog in a galaxy far, far away with this:

Ha! I’m actually an alcoholic cat with a spaniel on my head. Confusing…I know. Jenny (the bloggess)

Because that is how awesome she is. And I’ve got my grubby little paws on an Advance Reader Copy of her not-yet-released book Let’s Pretend This Never Happened (A Mostly True Memoir). So, my fresh start at blogging will have to wait because I’ve got some reading to do!
